Top Podcast Advertiser Ranking Methodology

Each month, Podscribe identifies the top podcast advertisers based on the estimated ad spend over the last 30 days. Live rankings are continuously updated on this page, but we also publish monthly snapshots to spotlight standout shows and trends.

Glossary

  • Industry - The business category or vertical that a brand belongs to (e.g. Banking, Mental Health, Retail, etc).

  • Brand Type - Classification of the advertiser’s goals: Branding or Direct Response

  • Estimated Spend - The dollar amount a brand is investing in audio advertising over the past month.

  • 1 Month Change % - The percentage increase or decrease a brand’s audio ad spend compared to the previous month. This shows short-term momentum or shifts in marketing strategy.

  • Top Show Genres - The most common podcast categories a brand advertisers on (e.g. True Crime, Comedy, News). This provides insight into a brand’s target demographic and content alignment.

    • Shows - The number of unique podcast titles that a brand has advertised on. A high count can signal a broad campaign strategy, while a lower number may indicate more targeted placements.

      % Host Read - The portion of a brand’s podcast ads that are read by the show host. Host-read ads are generally more trusted and integrated into the content, which often leads to better performance.
