Measure In-Store Conversions with Podscribe

Podscribe is excited to roll out our latest and greatest update: In-Store Attribution.

Through integrations with Shopify S2S (Server-To-Server), Ibotta, and credit card transaction data, Podscribe now links audio ad exposure to verified in-store conversions, thereby combining online and offline impact into a single, unified view.

For CPG brands and retailers, this means you can finally get digital-style attribution for brick-and-mortar purchases.

See how your audio ads influence real-world shopping behavior, and optimize your spend with clear visibility into:

  • Which channels, creatives, or audiences are driving in-store sales

  • How performance differs between online and in-store environments

  • What adjustments can maximize ROI and efficiency

Podscribe offline purchases tracking in three ways:

  1. Shopify S2S: If you use Shopify Point-Of-Sale (POS) as your main payment system, we can track purchases through our Shopify Server-To-Server (S2S) integration.

    • Example: Harry's Shopify payment system used in-store and online → all tracked via Shopify S2S

  2. Credit Card Transaction Data: If you own brick and mortar stores, we can attribute ad exposures to in-store purchases by partnering with credit card data companies sharing 86B+ credit card transactions.

    • Example: Target in-store transactions → tracked via credit card transaction data (brand matches store)

  3. Ibotta: If you don’t use Shopify or have physical stores, we can still measure purchases through Ibotta’s rewards data for CPG goods sold at over 80+ retailers.

    • Example” Gillette products sold at grocery or convenience stores → tracked via Ibotta (brand differs from store)

Map these types of events directly within the Podscribe dashboard.

Shopify S2S

Our Shopify S2S integration makes it simple to track in-store and offline conversions, even those on Amazon, that are already connected to a Shopify store.

To map this data, customer emails are linked to their household IP address using our device graphs to perform the measurement since consumer IPs are not often available.

Moreover, S2S tracking provides more complete and reliable event data by capturing conversions that might be missed due to ad blockers, cookie consent limits, or browser restrictions.

Ibotta

Ibotta collects this data through retail rewards integrations and self-reported purchases (via receipt uploads), linking transactions to user profiles using hashed emails (HEMs), mobile ad IDs (MAIDs), and frequent IP addresses.

This data helps Podscribe connect audio ad exposures to verified in-store CPG purchases, unlocking another layer of reporting for campaigns.

Ibotta supplies nationally representative, first-party in-store CPG purchase data across 80+ retailers and 50M registered users, refreshed daily for near real-time insights.
